Dr. King would be troubled...

To Paraphrase...
"until my sons are judged not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character"

We have got it all wrong folks - all wrong.

What is all the excitement about? Tens of thousands pack the malls of the capital. Music for days, quests of a lifetime. Parties in the libraries and gymnasiums, in the bars and churches...good business.

For what?

To celebrate the "election" of a BLACK president. Because he's BLACK. First and foremost, because he's BLACK. If Barack Obama was white...what type of celebration would there be? And if the answer to that question doesn't mirror what is happening today and what will happen on Tuesday - then you must accept that we are turning back the clock on race relations. Turning our backs on Dr. King's words that his sons be judged, NOT by the color of their skin, BUT by the content of their character.

This is not a coronation but a welding shut of any hope to blindness.
